I get about a thousand spam a day. Generally, I let it sit in my junk folder for a month or so and then delete it. This gives me a chance to go back and look through it if the need should arise. This time around, I had about 6 weeks worth, or roughly close to 50,000 of the unwanted email. So after receiving the upteenth Father's Day spam, I decided to compare the weeks leading up to Mother's Day with the weeks leading up to Father's Day. The reason? I just didn't recall seeing much Mother's Day spam and I was curious to see the numbers. The end result: at least in my inbox, Father's Day spam outpaced Mother's Day spam by 7:1. Even HGTV has gotten into the act, averaging 3 Father's Day solicitations for every 1 Mother's Day solicitation.

(Prudent Press Agency)--If you already own an internet home business there is a great possibility that you are so busy in the day to day running of your business that you fail to consider that there are other ways that you can profit from your money. There are some situations where you can make more money from investments than from your actual internet home business. This is possible because allot of normal expenses you incur in your every day business is not applicable when investing, like salaries, overhead expenses, and normal every day to day expenses. You are making your money work for you when investing rather that you working for money.

''This year again, the International Day for Biological Diversity reminds us of the alarming condition of biodiversity in our cities and countryside. The worsening state of our planet on a day-to-day basis is frightening and Local and regional authorities cannot ignore the threats which weigh on all our essential needs'' expressed Gaye Doganoglu, Chair of the Committee on Sustainable Development of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and Willy Borsus, Rapporteur on urban biodiversity. They invited European local and regional authorities to sign up massively to the Bonn Call for Action on Cities and Biodiversity which is being launched on 28 May in Bonn, Germany at the Mayors Conference, a parallel event to the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD).

Kolargol00 writes "An outage affected the Mozilla.com website on the day the organisation launched its Guinness World Record attempt for downloads of the new Firefox 3 browser. The mozilla.com site was unreachable from around the world, occasionally responding with the message, 'Http/1.1 Service Unavailable.'" Since they decided to run their day from 1pm to 1pm Eastern time, the download day is actually still going, so you can still get Firefox and be part of the record.

KINGSTON (Agencies): Australia captain Ricky Ponting believes it was gratifying to see his side fight back and conquer West Indies in the opening Test on Monday at Sabina Park. A rare batting collapse in their second innings saw Australia set West Indies 287 for victory, but Stuart Clark captured a career-best five wickets for 32 runs to bowl Australia to a 95-run win. "It's been a pretty good Test from first day to last," Ponting said. "It was pretty entertaining. Our best overall cricket was probably played on the first day and the last. "We spoke at length before the start (on Monday) about how we wanted to attack them, what we needed to do, and how we wanted to execute things if we wanted to win the game. "I think coming into the final day, the game was in the balance.
