A colleague of mine has a site. When we type site: www.thesite.com and enter we get the list of webpages with title and description. But after the title we are getting a line that the site may harm your computer. Why is this ? Also they dont have a cached version of it. I am as such reluctant even to open the site becos of this warning. I have gone thru google advice on this and have asked the person to thoroughly check all pages for anything wrong with the coding. I think they are in process and also they had written to the mentioned link given in Google's pages but no response so far? Has anyone experienced this before and have idea what to do?

I am curious about my tax-deferred 401(k) plans when I move. If I move from New York to North Carolina or South Carolina, will New York come after the taxes that were deferred while I am working here now? I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere.

For one website, we are curious to know which keywords (organic search only) are resulting in forms being completed. For instance, Keyword A might bring double the traffic of Keyword B, but Keyword B might result in more leads...or not. Is there a simple way to do this through Google Analytics, some code we can add to a form? I thought there was, but I don't see it anywhere.

Cristal Vazquez had long been curious about what her three children were up to online. So when her 12-year-old daughter left her computer without logging out of her MySpace account two years ago, Vasquez seized the opportunity to check her viewing history. Among the list of "friends" were male names she didn't recognise, including one that was extremely flirtatious in his messages.

In the past two years, BlogTalkRadio has become one of those curious Internet sensations -- millions rave about it, but few understand how it'll make enough money to survive. The company offers a free, eponymous service that lets anyone with a telephone and a computer host a live radio talk show that's broadcast over the Internet -- no downloads or special equipment necessary. Some 3.2 million people listen in each month to amateur broadcasters and guests, who have included movie star Brad Pitt, author Salman Rushdie, and U.S. Presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and John McCain.

Over the weeks we've taken a look at some very curious objects which have often raised some wonderful questions. One such question dealt with what could be observed should a supernova event involve a planetary system. In this case, it's not quite the explosive mass destruction scenario - but a planetary nebula that consumed its planets…

I've been on short-term disability for three weeks, and I was curious if the money I received is taxable? I get 65 percent of my pay and my employer pays the premium, but it's part of my current earnings. I talked with the disability company and they said they would be issuing a W-2. Does this mean it's taxable? If this is true, I know the IRS matches W-2s with the tax return.

KentuckyFC writes "Astronomers have discovered some 250 planetary systems beyond our own, many of them with curious properties. In particular, our theories of planet formation are challenged by 'hot Jupiters,' gas giants that orbit close to their parent stars. Current thinking is that gas giants can only form far away from stars because gas and dust simply gets blown away from the inner regions. Now astronomers have used computer simulations of the way planetary systems form to understand what is going on (abstract). It looks as if gas giants often form a long way from stars and then migrate inwards. That has implications for us: a migrating gas giant sweeps away all in its path, including rocky planets in the habitable zone. And that means that solar systems like ours are likely to be rare.

Anonymous Hacker writes "I'm in a bit of a bind. My young teenage son is starting to get curious about computers, and in particular, programming. Now, I'm a long time kernel hacker (Linux, BSD and UNIX). I have no trouble handling some of the more obscure things in the kernel. But teaching is not something that I'm good at, by any means. Heck, I can't even write useful documentation for non-techies. So my question is: what's the best way to encourage his curiosity and enable him to learn? Now, I know there are folks out there with far better experience in this area than myself. I'd really appreciate any wisdom you can offer. I'd also be especially interested in what younger people think, in particular those who are currently in college or high school.

It seems that whenever Apple releases a new product, it quickly gets disassembled (or run over by a car) by companies that are curious about the innards of the product. One of those companies is market intelligence firm iSuppli, which releases cost analyses of Apple products a few days after their release. iSuppli released a preliminary estimate for the iPhone 3G several weeks ago, but has completed a new, real dissection now that the device is officially out. The company believes that it shows that Apple has managed to cut over $50 of manufacturing costs the second time around, leading to a tidy profit margin on each unit sold.
