You are not alone; the guys over at TheBBPS wrote an open e-mail to Dylan Cuthbert, executive producer at Q-games, humorously complaining that his wife finds PixelJunk Monsters just a tad bit too overwhelming and requests difficulty settings for the game. Cuthbert acknowledges his prayers, stating that an upcoming free patch to Monsters will include the ability to make the game easier, or harder, than the default setting.

iPhone Coming to Verizon: There are signs that Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) is working on an EVDO version of the iPhone, possibly for Verizon (NYSE: VZ), 9to5mac reports. According to a tipster with âsome Verizon insider credentials,â Apple might be announcing iPhones for the carrier as early as Macworld 2009, little more than three months from now. Today, Criterion Games announced that they will be releasing Burnout Paradise on PlayStation Network. The title will be available on PlayStation Store for $29.99 in Fall 2008. Sega has just recently announced a new video of Valkyria Chronicles as well as (the more exciting news) a playable demo coming to Qore on October 9th. This is fantastic news for those of us who are anticipating the game and just aren't patient enough for the full release. Well, this is an odd piece of news. Apparently, one eagle-eyed gamer realized that release details of the New Xbox Experience dashboard update were staring him right in the face, by way of an advertisement in the current dashboard. As you can see in the image above, in the ad for Rock Band 2, you see the phrase “Check out the New Xbox Experience coming in November!” Okay, cool, but can we view this as accurate? Microsoft always has the last say on when their dashboard updates hit, but they also have final say on how advertising appears within the Xbox ecosystem. Thoughts?
