According to the plan, the bridge will be fixed in phases: first, WSDOT will replace lift cables at a cost of $3 million; during phase two, the center truss will be rehabilitated at a cost of $54.1 million; phase three calls for the rehabilitation of the city's approach to the bridge at a cost of $4.9 million; and phase four rehabilitates the port side bridge approach at a cost of $8.3 million.
