Vista Service Pack One Almost Here

arogier writes "After numerous delays and an actual release reversal, the official release date for Vista service pack one has been set for Tuesday, March 18th on Windows Update and Microsoft Downloads. It will be released as an automatic update on April 18th. 'It's unclear so far how a February snafu will affect SP1's roll-out. Last month, after Microsoft pushed a pair of prerequisite patches to users, some reported that their machines refused to finish installing one of the fixes, then went into an endless series of reboots. Several days later, Microsoft pulled the update from automatic delivery, said it was working on a solution and promised it would "make the update available again shortly after we address the issue."' It would be a good time for those planning to adopt early to perform requisite backups and locate their restore media

Online Marketing - How Agents Can Use SEO to Save Their Business

RISMEDIA, April 24, 2008-After 23 years as an agent and after spending the last 10 years as a broker, Diana Russell realized her career was facing its end in November of 2007. The sub-prime mortgage mess, a suddenly somnambulant marketplace and a type of concern bordering on consumer hysteria among home buyers had exhausted her financially, emotionally and physically. Her once robust brokerage had no closings but expenses kept coming. After depleting her reserves and trying all sorts of traditional measures Russell suddenly saw the handwriting on the wall: it seemed that everything she had spent learning over the previous 23 years no longer worked. Reluctantly, she started calling her vendors, cutting back her overhead to near zero, and was planning to close shop with no idea of what she would do or where she would go.

Xerox Demos Self-Erasing, Eco-Friendly Paper

Lucas123 writes "The same Xerox lab that brought us Ethernet, the GUI and the mouse has demonstrated paper that can be reused after printed text automatically deletes itself from its surface in a day. Instead of trashing or recycling after one use, a single piece of paper can be reused up to 100 times. 'The paper contains specially coded molecules that create a print after being exposed to ultraviolet light emitted from a thin bar in a printer. The ultraviolet bar itself is very small, so it can be used in mobile printers. The technology could also be useful for network printing.'"
