T-Mobile Germany To Sell iPhone Starting At One Euro

It won’t be free as its being offered in the UK, but the iPhone will go for as little as 1 euro ($1.54) in Germany to consumers signing on to T-Mobile for a two-year contract, reports Bloomberg. Depending on the customer’s service plan, the 8 gigabyte 3G iPhone will start at 1 euro and reach 169.95 euros ($263), while the 16 gigabyte version will cost from 19.95 euros ($31) to 249.95 euros ($388). The German operator hasn’t revealed its complete list of prices, but said that the monthly contract for a 1 euro iPhone would be at least 69 euros ($107). T-Mobile’s German head Philipp Humm said the operator was hoping to boost mobile web usage with the new iPhone. The phone will be available in Germany on July 11.

Deutsche Telekom's online music store launches in Austria, Switzerland

Deutsche Telekom's online music download portal Musicload has launched its services in Austria and Switzerland. Both portals offer more than 3 million songs, audiobooks and music videos that can be downloaded for free and include music and other content from local bands as well. Musicload already has 3 million registered users in Germany. Customers can choose to pay for each download separately, between EUR 0.79 and EUR 1.99 in Austria or between CHF 1 CHF 2.95 in Switzerland or sign up for a audio streaming subscription called Musicload Nonstop, which costs EUR 8.95 per month in Austria and CHF 12.95 per month in Switzerland. Of the 3 million songs, Musicload offers 1 million as MP3 file and plans to increase the DRM-free portfolio during the coming months.

Panasonic's New HD Camcorders World's First With 3-MOS Sensors
