Robotic contest on August 30-31

The seventh international competition of ABU Asia Pacific Robotic Contest 2008 (ABU ROBOCON) will be held on August 30 and 31. MIT Pune in association with Prasar Bharati would be the hosts for the event. About 17 countries, including India, are expected to participate in the event. ABU ROBOCON was launched in 2002 and is an annual international project organised by the ABU, Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, which consists of 118 broadcasters from 53 regions. On Thursday, August 14 after-hours, Harman International Industries, Inc. (HAR) reported Q4 net income of $31.7 million or $0.54 per share on $1.07 billion in revenue vs. $105 million or $1.58 per share a year ago, down 70% (see earnings call transcript). Excluding items (restructuring, merger and tax related), HAR reported $0.68 per share vs. $0.98 per share a year ago, down 31%.
