Google continued its momentum in tailoring its applications for Apple's iPhone with the adaptation of its Google Earth application for the iPhone and Apple's iPod Touch. Google helped sponsor the launch of the high-resolution GeoEye-1 satellite, and after a month of testing, the first image has been released by Satellite Imaging. The GeoEye bird can see objects as small as 16 inches. But the satellite images used in Google Maps and Google Earth will be resampled and Google says individuals cannot be identified.
