According to the Korean Intellectual Property Office on Monday, the number of Chinese trademark applications filed in Korea grew more than five times over the past five years from 220 in 2003 to 1,129 in 2007. 16 July 2008 - Twenty first place winners of the 2008 Chinese Children's Painting Competition organized by the Luo Hong Foundation and UNEP are in Nairobi to receive their awards from UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner. The 20 children were selected winners of the competition which was had over 1.5 million entries from all regions of China. Other winners include 100 second place winners and 500 third place winners. The theme of the Competition was Climate Change: "What can we do to make our earth cool down?" The Chinese Children's Painting Competition is chaired by Liz Rihoy of Resource Africa.
