BenQ expects to sell 100,000 digital cameras in 2008 with its market share to rise from 6-7% currently to 10% for the whole year, according to the company.

US titanium-dioxide market to top $2 billion in '09 on nanotech

Commentary: Sony's attempt to take lead in North America LCD TV market comes up short

While Sony cut its LCD TV prices in May in an attempt to regain its number one position in the North America market, the attempt failed as rival Samsung increased its market share from 13.5% in the first quarter to 18.3% in the second quarter, according to DisplaySearch. Sony's market share drop from 13.4% in the first quarter to 11.7% in the second quarter, the market research firm noted.

Now results show that Firefox posted a 0.6% market share increase in June to 19% of the overall browser market. Safari and Opera also eked out small gains in June as well.
