The T-Mobile G1 is gaining momentum as another device that's picking up on a lot of pre-orders, especially so when just a few days ago, it has hit the 1.5 million mark. For those who pre-ordered way back before October 3rd, it might even be delivered as early as October 22nd. And for the UK consumers, the good news just keeps on coming: the T-Mobile G1's availability has been announced to be on the 30th of October. While all we've seen are images (and from the looks of it, it won't be turning many heads with its simplistic and basic design), the numbers doth not lie on its popularity. There's no news of its visibility in the Asia Pacific region yet, but we'll be keeping our fingers crossed should it ever reach our shores.

The report found that the softness in online retail spending was driven in a big part by negative spending growth in households earning less than $50,000. The slowdown in online spending in is huge contrast the the year-to-year changes being seen in 2007, when comScore was reporting back-to-back, double digit growth in ecommerce sales. For example, last year, comScore reported a 28% year-to-year increase in sales in August, 19% increases in September and a 19%
