Users who have struggled to learn the Java programming language will be pleased with the news reported by InformationWeek's Charles Babcock, which is that Sun is working on the release of Java FX, a scripting language based on a byte code that can run in the standard Java Virtual Machine (JVM) but that will be much easier to learn and to use than Java itself. This article will discuss two fundamentally different approaches to development of the enterprise Web Services (WS). Both approaches use SOAP over HTTP protocols and define endpoints and operations via a Web Services Definition Language (WSDL) file. The two methods are contract-first and contract-last. Even though the technology stack can be similar for both methods, they differ in both the methodology and the implementations.
