The Washington Post is asking the question about the aging Palm OS. Now owned by Japan's Access Software, Palm OS has been in serious decline for a long time. Without even a new paint job in recent years, the Palm OS has seen many users flee to other more advanced devices like the BlackBerry, iPhone, or AT&T Tilt.

David Flynn from the Australian computer magazine APC wrote in and let us know about an interview he had with Ed Colligan recently when Colligan was there for the local launch of the Centro. David chatted with Ed on a wide range of subjects including the 'Palm 2.0' OS, a possible return for the Foleo (as a prosumer brand, a product or perhaps both?) and why, in the face of competition from BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Apple, "why Palm doesn't just give up and go home...". The company has hit some rough waters lately, but if it's up to CEO Ed Colligan, that's all going to change in the coming years.

Cutting straight to the chase, Coster launched into a storm of questions regarding Palm's future plans and yet-to-be-announced product releases. Brown dodged all questions regarding planned product, a not-so-surprising move as companies are keeping plans closer to the cuff in an increasingly competitive smartphone world. One thing Brown made abundantly clear - Palm has a lot riding on its new Linux-based OS slated for release later this year.

I'd like to shout out a Happy 9 Year Birthday to my Friend Sammy McLoughlin and the Palm Addicts website!!! Congratulations Sammy and gang at Palm Addict! I've been reading the website for many years. It was my first Palm related website I found after discovering the world of Palm devices, and there was always so very much information at hand. The site has grown a lot over the years and still looks great and is still going strong! Cheers to you Sammy, and I hope to see Palm Addict continue to grow over the following years!
