Russia and CIS mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) will launch the iPhone 3G in Russia on 3 October. The iPhone 3G from Apple blends all the features of the original iPhone plus 3G networking, built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services and iPhone 2.0 software with support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. The device also runs third-party applications available via the new App Store. MTS will sell the iPhone 3G in more than 1,400 MTS-branded retail stores, as well as through dealer networks.
