Hands on Asus P320 mini PDA: related news

Hands on: Asus P320 mini PDA

It was just a week before when Asus announced its mini PDA phone 320 for the Indian market and we have got our brief hands on the device. It is the smallest PDA phone from Asus and it really looks classy and suave. In my opinion, it looks better than HTC Touch.

Asus Release a Wiimote-Alike

arcticstoat writes "After attracting lots of media attention with the Eee PC, Asus has now turned its hand to producing a motion-sensitive controller like the Wiimote, called the Eee Stick. Looking unashamedly like a copy of a Wiimote and Nunchuk setup, the Eee Stick has two components — one with an analogue joystick, and one with a digital control pad — and both sticks have a rumble feature. The Eee Stick is currently planned to be bundled with various models of the Eee PC and Eee Box, but Asus says it can also theoretically work with any PC."

ASUS Eee PC 1000 (Linux)

"But the Eee PC 1000 (note the lack of an H) isn’t just a copycat: its 40GB solid state drive—the biggest SSD in a mini-notebook to date—and ASUS’ customized version of Xandros Linux (now with more preloaded applications) make it faster and longer lasting. We just wish it cost a bit less."

The Day that I Will Buy a New PDA...

IconI already have a PalmV PDA with PalmOS 3.5. I never use it. I practically have absolutely no need for an organizer. Yet, I wanna buy a new one. That geek gene in me (that my mother unsuccessfully tried to kill over the years) what really wants is a "truly mobile PC" that just isn't a laptop. So, for the last few days I was shopping around the Internet for a new PDA (preferably a PocketPC this time) that would fit the kind of thing I am looking for. I was... horrified to find out that what I need isn't... invented yet.

Canon EOS 50D Hands-on Photos Hit the Web

First we had the leaked info, then some official-looking shots, and now, at last, some proper hands-on images of Canon's upcoming EOS 50D pro-consumer DSLR have hit the intertubes over at Impress. According to the guys there the cam feels a lot like the 40D to hold, but it's a tad easier to grip. It's got a screen that's easier to read, they like the tweaked user interface, the new "creative fully automatic" CA mode, and the 6.3 fps shooting speed (there's an audio file of the cam in action here.) None of that is a surprise, given the evolution heritage of the camera. Check out the gallery, with full images over at the Impress link. Update: Dpreview also has a set of hands-on photos and review, made soon after the 50D's announcement. [Impress]

Destructoid PAX 08: Damnation hands-on

We managed to get a peek at Damnation at E3 earlier this summer. We were glad that Codemasters had us over to check it out, but we were a bit bummed to see that it was a hands-off preview. Luckily we were finally able to get some hands-on time with Damnation at PAX.
