A new support document explains how to replace an original iPhone with an iPhone 3G using the same carrier: "If you follow these steps to backup your original iPhone first, and then restore the backup to your iPhone 3G, your saved SMS messages, email accounts, photos, notes, and other personal settings will be present on your iPhone 3G," the company noted. Apple iPhone 3G Review

(Review) - Well get right to the chase. Apples iPhone 3G is very similar to the original iPhone. In fact, first-generation iPhones can be updated to use the iPhone 2.0 software, which will give a lot of the software capabilities of iPhone 3G to its predecessor. However, that doesnt mean that iPhone 3G isnt worth the upgrade. If you were holding out on the original iPhone in hopes of iPhone 3G, this is your chance to grab one, assuming can get past the strict requirements of activating the phone in AT&T or Apple Stores. Thats of course to prevent a lot of folks from unlocking their iPhones.

Turn Off Your iPhone 3G Wi-Fi Connections For Safety

Returning The iPhone After Two Weeks Of Daily Use

imageThe iPhone 3G is not for me. Ive returned mine exactly two weeks after I committed a Friday and Saturday morning to buy one. Good thing I was on assignment. No one likes wasting time in line, especially ones that move slow due to poor planning. I cant deny how remarkable it is to browse the internet and use those cool applications, but as a phone and communications device the iPhone leaves me wanting more. My biggest gripebattery life. I couldnt get through half a normal day before I got the red battery alert. Its easy to keep it plugged into your PC to charge at the desk during the day, but anytime I wentmobileI did so with hesitation. The iPhone battery doesnt last as long as the comparable 3G devices running on Symbian, Windows Mobile and other platforms.
