It's all about the cameras today with Sony leading out two new compact piccie grabbers from their photographic stables. Part of the Cyber-shot range, they go by the names of the Sony Cyber-shot T700 and the Sony Cyber-shot T77 and just to confuse matters even more, Sony Ericsson brought out the their new T700 mobile today. Yeah, that caused a little fun for a while.

Sony Ireland has appointed David Byrne to the position of channel development manager for video-conferencing and CCTV within its business division, Sony Professional Solutions. David joins Sony Ireland Ltd from Digicom where he held the position of corporate sales - audio-visual consultant. Sony has launched the Playstation 3 video store, bringing yet another broadband video delivery avenue to market. The store offers roughly 300 movies in both standard and high-definition formats for rental, ranging from $2.99 to $5.99. TV shows can be purchased for $1.99 and up, while films can be purchased for between $9.99 and $14.99.
