Culver City, Calif. - Emmy-winning actor Brad Garrett ("Everybody Loves Raymond," "'Til Death") will star in an online reality dating series hosted on Sony's (NYSE: SNE) Crackle video site, the company said. "Dating Brad Garrett" will ask women to upload their video applications online, which will then be reviewed by a panel including Garrett's ex-wife and urologist. More information has been given about Sony's first WHDI device, the DMX-WL1T, according to Sony Insider. This interface will allow uncompressed 1080p HD video and audio signal to be transmitted to any Dmex compatible Sony Bravia HDTV. WHDI is claimed to be capable of data rates up to 3GB per second, transmitted on a 40mhz channel in the 5Ghz unlicensed band. The range for the DMX-WL1T is said to be 5 feet, significantly less than Sony's claims of the distance WHDI technology is capable communicating.
