Construction of the factory in Bac Giang Province will begin in September, with operations expected to start in April next year, a company statement said. "We expect the total investment in the new firm to be around $95-million [U.S.]," said a spokeswoman for Sanyo, which already produces optical pickups in Japan, China and Indonesia. The new firm will be wholly controlled by Shenzhen Sanyo Huaqiang Optical Technology Co. of China, which is 60 per cent owned by Sanyo, with the remaining 40 per cent held by its Chinese partner. Sanyo has slashed thousands of jobs and sold non-core operations as part of a massive overhaul in recent years.

According to USA Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the group that is responsible for managing domain names and addresses on the internet, is ready to open up domain registry for all domain names. Instead of having a limit for what addresses can be named with .net, .com, .org, etc, you can name things anything you want including .pocketnow. In the future, perhaps there will be a www.reviews.pocketnow instead of just www.pocketnow.com. Essentially, a company can use its name to replace .com at the end of an address.
