Tripology, the interactive travel referral service, has announced the appointment of travel industry veteran Joanie Ogg, CTC, MCC, to the company's Advisory Board. Ogg is a 35-year veteran of the travel industry and has been involved with the independent contractor evolution since 1988. Ogg was president of the National Association of Commissioned Travel Agents (NACTA) and TravelSellers. She and her husband Tom acquired NACTA in 1996 and sold it to ASTA in 2000. Ogg left ASTA earlier this year. Ogg is a Master Cruise Counselor, and in September 1996 she earned her CTC designation.
