VeriSign founder returns to company

VeriSign, the biggest operator of computers that direct Internet traffic, brought back founder Jim Bidzos as interim chief executive, chairman and president as the company works to refocus. Bidzos replaces former CEO William Roper, who unexpectedly resigned this week. Bidzos will be the president and CEO of VeriSign on an interim basis, the company said, in what is one of several recent management shake ups. Bidzos has served as either chairman or vice chairman of the board of directors of VeriSign since April 1995. The founder had left the company for a few years to go to RSA Security and returned to the role of the chairman at VeriSign in August 2007.
