Why should a website be made search engine optimized? So that it helps the search engines to locate your website easily and place it in the top rung of the ranking list. When it is placed high in the rank list there is more visibility, which means more visitors will be able to find your website readily when they use the search engines and that will increase the flow of traffic to your website. The steady and heavy stream of traffic that is directed to the website results in more business profitability.

Hugh Pickens writes "A new study by sociologists at the University of Maryland concludes that unhappy people watch more TV, while people who describe themselves as 'very happy' spend more time reading and socializing. 'TV doesn't really seem to satisfy people over the long haul the way that social involvement or reading a newspaper does,' says researcher John P. Robinson. 'It's more passive and may provide escape — especially when the news is as depressing as the economy itself. The data suggest to us that the TV habit may offer short-run pleasure at the expense of long-term malaise.' Unhappy people also liked their TV more: 'What viewers seem to be saying is that while TV in general is a waste of time and not particularly enjoyable, "the shows I saw tonight were pretty good.

Channel 4 is shutting down its red button interactive TV ad sales business, as well as its mobile ad sales operations, as part of its £100 million, two-year retrenchment plan. The broadcaster admitted it had seen a âsteep declineâ in demand for interactive TV advertising, according to Media Week. As for mobile ads, the broadcaster may revisit them if demand begins to pick up. C4 currently produces a 20-minute rolling loop of some its most popular shows, including Hollyoaks, Grand Designs and Supernanny. The content airs on all the major mobile networks and carries ads. Two years ago, Channel 4 dumped its red button content service, calling the technology âa clunky and inefficient use of capacity”.
