Cybercitizenship for the Very Young: An Evolution in Cybercrime Prevention Education in New Zealand

ybercrime is a threat to all societies and touches all aspects of the law enforcement profession. Strong detective and investigative policies need to be developed to protect our communities from this threat. But additionally, and crucially, education has a role to play in cybercrime prevention. Education can reduce opportunities for cybercrime by increasing awareness and stimulating implementation of practical online crime reduction strategies. Education can help “harden the targets,” from children and families to businesses and community organizations, empowering them to be more proactively involved in their own safety and security, as well as that of others.

Thoughts on England v New Zealand day 1

Lords4Well the rain came but it went away by lunchtime, so those of us at Lord's got to see just over 50 overs as New Zealand reached 208 for six. At 104 for five, with 15 minutes still to go until tea, it looked as if my plea that Daniel Vettori shouldn't bat until the final session would be rebuffed, but Brendon McCullum and Jacob Oram put on 99 together. It may not have tilted the game New Zealand's way - although it's fair to say that New Zealand's tail ends at 6 and the batting begins at 7, so they may yet make it to 300 or more.

New iPhone? - New on MacOpinion

Everyone seems convinced Steve Jobs will announce a new iPhone next week at WWDC and the speculation is wild as to what new features it will include: 3G cellular support, GPS, new design, etc. While I'll admit the evidence is strong that a new phone will be introduced -- one cannot ignore the low supply of the current model or indicators like AT&T's "no June/July vacations" memo to staff -- I am not convinced this new phone will be radically different from the current model.

New iPhone 3G

We’ve all been hearing a million different things about this “new” iPhone that is suppose to be coming out any day now! I recently spoke to one of my friends who works at AT&T and I guess the new gossip going around is that the new iPhone is going to be cheaper than the original. I don’t know about you guys, but I find this hard to believe. The 3G is suppose to be faster, have GPS, a new glossy black cover (that is said to be color changeable), slightly thicker, updated software and the camera is expected to be better. I’m sure there will be a ton more things that will be changed or newly added to the new iPhone, so it’s a little strange that Apple would make the new iPhone less expensive...Especially, because people are going to buy it no matter how much it is.
