If you were to ask me to list my all time favorite arcade racers, there will be one inclusion that you may not have expected - Monster Truck Madness. While it was never the most technically sound racing game made, it will always hold a special place for me as one of the first I truly enjoyed as a youngster. However despite the fame of that series, and despite the fact there is something about monster trucks and video games which just go well together, it has never been an overly successful pairing, with mostly only low budget generic efforts to speak of. This trend is set to continue with Activision's and Torus Games' recently released Monster Jam for the Xbox 360, because while it seems to offer what you'd expect from a monster truck game, it is overall a very generic racer that doesn't really standout.

There have been rumours doing the rounds of an imminent price drop for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console. The hearsay might indeed be true as advertisements were recently spotted showing the Xbox 360 selling for about $50 less than it's $350 price tag: The Xbox 360 Pro is being sold at Target's brick-and-mortar stores for $299.99. This US price drop follows a similar move in the UK. Could an Indian price drop be far behind? Given the history of the Xbox 360 in India, it could very well be; hopefully, the console will reflect its new international price come Diwali, at the latest.

The North American market has been the stronghold of Xbox 360. It was out far before the competition and as a native company many found Microsoft's new video game console to be a trustworthy product. Xbox 360 has been the most sold console in the USA since the launch, but Nintendo has ended that era according to NDP Research. After only 20 months on the market it has sold 10.9 million Nintendo Wii consoles throughout the USA. This is just thousands more than the number of Xbox 360 consoles sold in the USA, which has been on the market for 32 months. I think we can conclude that Nintendo was right not to get involved in the tech war between Microsoft and Sony.

If you are thinking of buying an Xbox 360 console you may want to wait a couple weeks, as reports are circulating that Microsoft will be announcing a price cut in time for this years E3 show in mid-July.
