ATVI expects the deal to be completed by July 9, with the new company taking the title Activision Blizzard. The combined company will rival the size of leading videogame publisher Electronic Arts (ERTS: sentiment, chart, options) . On the game-title front, Activision publishes the popular "Guitar Hero" franchise, while Vivendi Games is responsible for the massively addictive "World of Warcraft" online multi-player game.
