Now, politicians too enter blogosphere...

Blog music, blog tv, blog cricket, blog jokes: Blogs to express comments, views and indicate events has become common. But what about blogs by politicians? Home Minister Dr V S Acharya has a blog. And, a minister who has a website and regularly updates it is Women and Child Welfare Minister P M Narendraswamy.

Brando's Telescope Case Now For iPhone 3G-Owning Voyeurs Too

Until now to telescopic-zoom an image with your iPhone 3G involved a quick sprint in the general direction of your photo's subject: But now Brando has a version of their telescope add-on for the phone. The lens is a 6x zoom bolt-on, and comes with a transparent mounting system/iPhone case much as before. It's also still very awkward looking: You won't be sneaking up to many curtains to peep unnoticed with this in your mitts. Available now for $19. [Brando]

Too Human now available for Europeans

Too Human has received mixed responses from US players, with it being a title that you'll either love or hate. Silicon Knight's action/role playing game is now available for Europeans. Will it garner a similar reaction in this territory?

'Diablo III' Producer Plays Down 'Too Human' Comparisons (Too Human)

"Both recent and early impressions of Silicon Knights' "Too Human" have said that the upcoming Xbox 360 title's loot, skill tree and combat systems are similar to that of past "Diablo" titles. Some previews even proclaimed that "Too Human" is "Diablo III" before the Blizzard game was even announced.

Too Human Did Not Take Ten Years

"Too Human's release on the Xbox 360 is edging closer and closer and with that, TGR sat down with Silicon Knights CEO Denis Dyack at this year's E3 to talk about the upcoming release of Too Human. One assumption that everyone makes in regards of Too Human is how long it took to develop, starting on the Playstation 1 and finishing up on the Xbox 360 with ten years of development time. We thought it was about time we got to the bottom of this and asked Denis himself."

Too Human Demo: Vindication for Denis Dyack

Consoleme.ca writes: Everyone knows the long and sordid history of Silicon Knights' new game for the Xbox 360, Too Human. It had a terrible showing at E3 in 2006, is part of a huge lawsuit against Unreal 3 engine maker Epic Games and is being led by one of the industries most outspoken individuals in Denis Dyack. Since that poor showing in 2006 Too Human has been on its heels trying to repair the damage done by an on-floor demo that was crippled by an incomplete Unreal Engine and in a form not ready to be seen by the public. For Dyack, this battle has raged on now for almost 3 years…and is finally about to come to its dramatic conclusion. The game is finally releasing in August of 2008 and, as promised, Canada's own Silicon Knights have released a demo for a game many not only expect to fail, but want to fail.

Rumor:Too Human Pre-Orders over 1 Million

Looks like Denis Dyack is well on his way to being redeemed in the eyes of gamers everywhere, w/ Too Human having the most Demo downloads of any game this gen and now with a rumored 1 million+ Pre-Orders for the game Too Human is set to sell huge when it releases.

Google Calendar Now Supports CalDAV, Syncs Natively With iCal (But Not iPhone)

One of my personal sticking points for keeping my online life totally synced is now one step closer to being easier—Google Calendar now supports CalDAV and can sync natively with OS X's iCal without a third-party add-on. But there's a huge hitch—as of now, I see no way to sync events created on my iPhone back into a Google Calendar, as you can't create an event in a CalDAV calendar directly on the iPhone. Damn, almost there—looks like I can't throw out BusySync just yet. But if you've found away around this limitation, please share in the comments. So close! [Lifehacker]

Comet W1 Boattini Now Visible For Northern Skies

Comet W1 Boattini - Joe BrimacombeI wanted to see it myself before I said anything - but now it's confirmed. Comet W1 Boattini is now visible in the northern hemisphere! So what if you have to get up before dawn? While its overall brightness is good enough to be seen with the unaided eye, I needed a lot of help, and maybe you'd like some, too?

'Dhoni's message: Now let's change cricket'

"Desh badla, bhesh badlo (The nation's changed, now change your deportment)", says Indian one-day captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in one of his latest advertisements. And now, he may as well add: "Ab cricket badlo (Now, let's change cricket)".

Microsoft, Dyack: "Ecstatic" at Too Human Demo Response

TheGameReviews.com got the chance to sit down with Silicon Knights CEO, Denis Dyack, to talk about their upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive, Too Human. One of the questions posed by TheGameReviews.com asked how the response has been to the Too Human demo that was released on Xbox Live to the general public this Monday to which he responded, by saying he is "ecstatic" about the response Too Human has had. He didn't give any specific numbers, but did ensure us that the demo has been downloaded "a lot."

Open source-based IP PBX for small business: Opportunities for resellers

Early voice over IP (VoIP) adoption was limited to large enterprises, universities and government agencies because the equipment was too expensive for small or midsized businesses. Now, with the advent of low priced systems based on free or inexpensive software on commodity hardware, even the smallest companies can take advantage of VoIP's cost savings. Value-added resellers (VARs) who investigate and enter this market now will be well positioned to take advantage as adoption of the technology spreads.

Thwarting New JavaScript Malware Obfuscation

I Don't Believe in Imaginary Property writes "Malware writers have been obfuscating their JavaScript exploit code for a long time now and SANS is reporting that they've come up with some new tricks. While early obfuscations were easy enough to undo by changing eval() to alert(), they soon shifted to clever use of arguments.callee() in a simple cipher to block it. Worse, now they're using document.referrer, document.location, and location.href to make site-specific versions, too. But SANS managed to stop all that with an 8-line patch to SpiderMonkey that prints out any arguments to eval() before executing them. It seems that malware writers still haven't internalized the lesson of DRM — if my computer can access something in plaintext, I can too.

Now you can send free SMS via your iPhone

Show me a person who isn’t interested in saving money and I’ll show you a ghost! iPhone users now have the super economy scheme available to them where they can use the AOL Instant Messenger on their phone to send and receive SMS messages without paying for a plan or individual messages. The messenger is now available for download in the iPhone’s App Store and to start making use of the economic service, you’ll have to download and start it up. To send a free text message to a pal whose number is, say, (617) 555-6868, then all you have to do is send an IM to +16175556868. A confirmation message from AOL will tell you that your message has been sent, and if your pal replies reply you’ll receive it on your phone as an IM.

Palm OS compatibility now so close we can smell it

StyleTap have now confirmed that their Palm OS emulation system is now in private beta for Symbian OS - I didn't get an invite into this stage, but by applying to be a beta tester, you might be lucky. After a short while, it will be opened up to all beta testers, etc. The significance of StyleTap is that there are still many people in the world who are hanging onto ancient Palm handhelds and Treos because they depend on one or more specific Palm OS-only apps - StyleTap will help them move fairly seamlessly onto S60 and Symbian.

Striped nanoparticles enter cells with ease

When synthetic nanoparticles enter a biological cell they usually damage the cell membrane by creating tiny transient holes in it. Now, researchers in the US report on a new way of overcoming this problem - by coating the particles with "stripes" of different molecules. The breakthrough technique, which allows the nanoparticles to pass directly though the cell membrane barrier and reach the cell cytosol, could come in handy for drug delivery and for investigating macromolecular interactions in biology.
