Watch this hilarious clip from last night’s The Daily Show. Arianna Huffington calls for the retrenched and depressed to write for her: it’s therapeutic. She also tells Jon Stewart, her favourite embeddable, that 50 000 blogs are started a day, to which Stewart says “You make it sound like a sexually transmitted disease?”

Yes, I know, blogging about blogging (or as it is known, meta-blogging). But I do actually think there's something rather remarkable going on out there in the world of economics blogs just at the moment. We've just had the financial part of the economy fall over and of course we'd all like to know why and more importantly, how do we make sure that having fallen over it doesn't leave us with another Depression?

A worldwide group of scientists has created an infectious prion disease in a mouse model, in a step that may help unravel the mystery of this progressive disease that affects the nervous system in humans and animals. The research team, including Christina J. Sigurdson, D.V.M., Ph.D., assistant professor of pathology at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, also discovered that changing the structure of the prion protein by altering just two nucleic acids leads to a fatal neurological disorder in mice.

For more than a decade Bill Gates was the prince of the Consumer Electronics Show. The speech, which often seemed like more like a technological papal address, one of the most important technology addresses of the year. It kicked off the annual conference and Mr. Gates used the platform to announce products like the Xbox gaming console. The large, anticipatory crowds spoke to Microsoft’s unquestioned dominance of the computing world.

Corporate blogging is slowly, but steadily, gaining ground in India. "Although corporate blogging is still in its nascent stage, it is likely to witness exponential growth in the near future,"states Rajiv Karwal, a CEO blogger and founder of Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions. "There have been fleeting mentions about corporate blogging in the media and public platforms. But, there remains a dearth of knowledge available on this subject. It was this need that inspired me and my co-author, Preeti Chaturvedi, to write Corporate Blogging in India,"explains Karwal.

Does a big game like "SimCity" belong on a handheld device like an iPhone? That might depend on how you play. Those who like to meticulously plan each neighborhood bit by bit might like it, while those who prefer making massive, sweeping urban redevelopments may feel a little constrained. Either way, though, the game delivers an impressive amount of detail.

Do you have an iPhone? How about an iPod Touch? My wife was anti-iPhone craze. Then she suddenly decided she had to have one. So, we got one. She liked it for a while and then the novelty wore off, so now its mine. I like it. But, I do have some complaints. For one, I would like a more logical method of browsing hundreds of emails than just super-scrolling through the whole list by zipping my finger down the screen. I also would like it if all of the devices like alarm clocks and speakers that allow you to dock your iPod would also allow you to dock your iPhone. I mean, they are the exact same device except that one is able to place phone calls.

Maybe they're sick of being seen but not heard? Whatever the reason there's definitely a new model trend emerging: blogging! Trendsetter that she is Chanel Iman started it with ‘I'm such a diva' mini-videos that looked like they'd been filmed live from her living room. Victoria Secret's model Alessandra Ambrosio gave her some healthy competition after putting up a clip of herself jumping in and out of the sea on her new blog. And now Coco Rocha's joined them with Oh So Coco (genius name, can we just say!). You can check her giggling relentlessly with her friend, find out where she's going on holiday (Australia for two months since you ask) and watch her, erm, brushing her teeth (too much information Coco...). But more importantly we also find out why she had to keep her new red locks under wraps with a wig for so long.
