A Toronto oil executive has paid $175,000 for a painting of the two lead actors in the TV series The Sopranos posing as the 15th-century duke and duchess of Urbino, the highest price paid for memorabilia from the former HBO show. The painting shows actors James Gandolfini and Edie Falco, who respectively played mob boss Tony Soprano and his wife, Carmela, staring at each other in profile just as the duke and duchess do in Piero della Francesca's original, painted in 1465. The painting, pictured, is the work of fellow Sopranos cast member Federico Castelluccio, who played the hit man Furio Giunta. He came up with the idea during a trip to Florence to see della Francesca's painting. Torontonian Robert Salna bought the painting.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 22, 2008 ) DALLAS, Texas - TwinTrader.com announces the publication of ‘Peak Oil May Sprout “Space Program-size” Funding’ Investors can view all of the investment articles and publications for free by visiting: http://www.TwinTrader.com Peak Oil May Sprout “Space Program-size” Funding ”The hope of oil retreating back to the $30 level has since been shattered as fantastic and naĂŻve wishful thinking. Steve Forbe’s prediction last year of $30 oil has proven to be way off the mark. Many other “well-informed” pundits of the “peak oil” theory have turned mute, recently, and for very good reasons. It appears that the peak oil theorists are winning the debate this year, not with mere talking points, but with hard price and inventory levels data reported each day, and each week in the case of oil inventories.
