Verizon to Donate Valuable Rockwell Painting to Norman Rockwell Museum on March 12

Verizon will officially donate its original painting, entitled "The Lineman," to the Norman Rockwell Museum at a ceremony at the museum on Wednesday (March 12) at 11 a.m. Museum officials will unveil the valuable oil-on-canvas painting, which was recently appraised at more than $2 million.

Royal Ontario Museum to give away 1,200 free tickets monthly

Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum is giving away $1.3-million in free tickets to people who might not otherwise be able to afford admission. A new program, announced on Sunday by Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty, will distribute 1,200 free tickets every month to at-risk youth, seniors on fixed incomes, aboriginal people, abused women and physically or mentally disabled people. The program also provides family passes to new Canadians and gives post-secondary students free admission to the museum on Tuesdays. The Royal Ontario Museum's Community Access Network, or ROM CAN, is supported by United Way Toronto and the Institute for Canadian Citizenship. "The ROM strongly supports the principle of Museum access for everyone," said museum CEO and director William Thorsell, pictured, in a statement.

Tandy Leather Factory March Sales Down 17% - Quick Facts [TLF]

Tandy Leather Factory Inc. (TLF) reported that sales for the month of March were $4.4 million, down 17% from $5.3 million in the same month last year. Retail Leathercraft posted a 4% sales decrease for March, with sales totaling $2.1 million, compared to $2.2 million in March 2007.
