Summit Singers, Jasper’s community choir, is scheduled to hold its annual spring concert on Monday (May 12) in the Jasper United Church starting at 7:30 p.m. The concert, featuring about 20 of Jasper’s finest singers, will feature an eclectic mix of songs including Broadway tunes and music from the Renaissance period. The show marks the end of the season for Summit Singers. The group plans to start up again in September. Admission to next week’s concert is by donation.

An exciting addition has been made to the 2008 Spring Football Jamboree. Along with the morning activities for children and the traditional Longhorn Orange-White Game, the Jamboree will feature up-and-coming musical sensation Aunty E. ‘The Rockstar Princess’ will hold an hour-long concert starting at 10:30 a.m. followed by a half-hour autograph session in the parking lot just south of Mike A.
