MENLO PARK, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/01/08 -- With the popularity of TV shows like, "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance," Americans have a renewed interest in dance that is spilling over into the fitness arena. According to a survey published by the American Council on Exercise, health and fitness specialists see dance-based workouts as a growing trend, and Pilates continues to gain in popularity. Besides being fun, dancing continuously for 30 minutes burns 200 to 400 calories per hour -- the same calorie expenditure as experienced when walking, swimming or cycling, according to MayoClinic.com. The coordinated movements of dance also stimulate the brain to create more connections between neurons in the brain, making dance truly beneficial to the mind and body.

What you are about to see is real footage of a real event. From the 3rd annual Austrian Hexapod Championships, watch robots dance it off in extreme competition, surprisingly, without a single tongue-in-cheek reference to the dance known as the robot. If one of these entrants looks familiar, that's because he is. The...uhh...one in the hat does a routine to Mambo No. 5 that can be seen in full here. Otherwise, enjoy the freaky dance montage and the nightmares that will surely accompany it. [via MAKE]

Content Axis Launches New Review Blog eStepz - One of the top ranking copywriting agency, Content Axis, now launches a new review blog, eStepz apparently with a different approach in contrast to the traditional blog reviews sites people ave been coming across on the web. Over the years, review blogs have been a fairly effective tool for promotions, advertising, link building and search engine optimization. eStepz takes the sole aim of promoting the website and enhancing traffic while disseminating relevant information for the viewers. Review blogs are not only popular but are also believed to be extremely effective when people look for the best services, products and features available. While blogs could be very useful for promoting business online by enhancing traffic and generating revenue, many fall short in quality levels.
